25 Day Football Challenge Day 19: A footballer that you love that everyone seems to dislike. Aquivaldo Mosquera.  Centre half, CF America.  Since coming to Estadio Azteca from Sevilla, I thought he’d be a rock in the back line.  At 6-1, he’s taller than most strikers in la Primera, but he’s has his defensive liabilities.  That said, I love him.  Although I am a supporter for El Tri, I’m an avid follower of the Colombia national team, so it gives me more time to see a lot of him.  And he still has the same defensive issues.  Look, he’s not great, and he should be.  That’s probably why a lot of Americanistas dislike him.  Even former Aguilas winger, Angel Reyna, called him water!  So what?  He doesn’t mark his man well, but he’s got a temper and isn’t afraid to show it.  That’s enough for me to like him a lot.
